Casa do Alentejo’

(Video at bottom of page)

Today, I stopped in Casa do Alentejo’. It’s a historic palace that for 85 years has been a meeting place for people from Portugal’s historical province, Alentejo (além Tejo means beyond the Tagus), and to cultivate its unique culture.

The beautiful 17th century architecture is stunning inside and out. It not only serves the above duties, it houses an incredible modern art gallery and a popular high end restaurant. One day, when they ease the COVID restrictions, I intend to further investigate this culinary find!
